A Utilikilt is a garment designed for the man who likes to feel a breeze between his legs without appearing too feminine or Scottish. It seems to be a uniquely Seattle phenomenon; I see on average one Utilikilt per diem, whereas prior to moving to this fair city I had never set eyes upon one. Don't let the guy in this picture fool you: Utilikilt wearers are hardly ever muscular or tanned. Personally, I prefer the look of shorts, pants or trousers, but people in Seattle seem more concerned with comfort than fashion, so more power to the Utilikilters I guess.
